The Cricket in Times Square

Miss Pilgrim, our librarian, and I have begun a very exciting project. It started with a conversation with a teacher in Memphis, TN who wanted to learn more about how we use Scratch at Dondero. She wanted to try it with her 3rd graders. We began a discussion and decided to collaborate on lessons using the book “The Cricket in Times Square.” It’s a great read by George Selden, drawings by Garth Williams, that was written in 1960. There are lots of animals who travel and have adventures so Scratch will be the perfect vehicle to show their learning. We will be posting some of the results soon!
