Kindergarten Project

You might be wondering why I am mentioning Judi Wolf so much. It’s because after attending her workshop, I was eligible to earn a graduate credit if I completed three activities connected to the information that I learned. The first activity was the kindergarten mat and the second one is the idea of using pictures for links instead of just hypertext.

Judge for yourself. This is how I have traditionally displayed the links for my students:

Or these little screen shots, all hyper linked on one page just for kindergartners:

Here is the actual page http://lindageorge.pbwiki.com/K_Sites.

I am now working on a page for first graders: http://lindageorge.pbwiki.com/Gr_1_Sites, too. It just makes so much more sense!

  1. of course! it’s funny that seeing something that clear is like being hit over the head with the obvious – thanks for sharing this – time consuming for sure, but for links that you have on a fairly long-term basis or reuse more than one day, totally worth it.
